The Graduate School of Ministry at Palm Beach Atlantic University presents, “Creation Care, Neighbor Love, and Climate Science in South Florida” to raise awareness about local challenges related to a warming climate and other environmental change. The project supports a one-day symposium event on theology and climate care as well as Earth week activities to raise awareness about Christian engagement on the environment. Drs. Paul Gould and Tom Chesnes, who lead the project, are also running an intensive cohort-style opportunity for faculty and graduate students to gather bi-weekly to think critically about the impacts of population growth and natural resource use culminating with a field trip to learn about coastal flooding and infrastructure and the effects of rising water temperatures on marine ecosystems.
