Lexington Theological Seminary brings environmental awareness and science communication resources to students in training for congregational leadership with the project “Equipping EcoPreachers for a Climate-Changed World.” Rev. Dr. Leah Schade leads the effort to support students in learning about climate change and climate science, while also developing approaches to preaching that nurture spiritual and ecological imagination. The grant provides climate- and environment-focused group discussion opportunities, online kinship groups for pastors, a webinar connecting climate science to biblical and theological resources, and a course titled “Climate Crisis Preaching and Worship.” The grant also supports a cohort of students in taking an online “Climate Ambassador Training.”
